I was born and lived my whole life here, least safe city in the country but still not dangerous. It might get dangerous in such places where foreigners or tourists dont even step foot on. I do feel an increase in crime these past years, especially anything drug related. The drug culture here is huge, uncomparable to any other city in the country.

I was born in Vilnius and have lived here all my life, so I can agree that most of the city is absolutely safe right now. I wouldn't go to the bus/train station district at night and I doubt it is very safe in Naujininkai (night time as well), but the rest is ok.

My wife and I visited the Baltics last June.
Suffice it to say that while we did not go out at night, we deemed our 4 night stay as very enjoyable, very safe, and a destination we would return back to in the best of a heart.

I don't know if this website is doing the right thing of letting anyone in the world decide the crime rate of any city so that's why I live in vilnius and I think that the crime rate is around 40

Things get worse each year - especially corruption and bribery. Costs of living and prices go up drastically and actually without an economical reason. Oligopoly prevails, and small business suffers losses - often due to the policy of the corrupted authorities. Increasing inequality is of particular concern.
